Recruit Ready Health Check Questionnaire

The recruitment landscape has significantly altered over the last 10 years with a number of high profile government legislation introduced. In more recent years, the government have added further legislation as they look to tighten up on the recruitment industry and what they consider to be bad practice. As a provider of key services into recruitment businesses, we have a strong interest in helping such businesses to navigate through this new landscape and assist them in staying within the law and legislation. In many cases businesses have every intention of operating compliantly but due to the regularity and complexity of legislation, they fall short purely by accident. Unfortunately, HMRC do not give allowances for this and punishment for non-compliance can be extreme from severe financial penalties to criminal convictions.

The intention of this review process is to highlight any compliance weaknesses that could be apparent within the day to day processes of a recruitment agency. The information you provide will be reviewed and cross-referenced against the following industry legislation;

  • False Self Employment
  • Travel and Subsistence
  • Taylor Review and ‘The Good Work report’
  • Criminal Finance Act
  • IR35 ‘Off Payroll’
It is important to note that our expertise on these areas are based on experience and whilst we do consider ourselves to be extensively well informed on this subject matter, our recommendations are not legally binding and will be made at a high-level overview. It is also important to note that this process is designed to look at processes in relation to certain legislation and not necessarily all legislation.

Should you wish to have a more granular and all-encompassing checking process performed on your business, we can recommend a number of compliance experts in the industry who will be happy to arrange to do so.

The healthcheck questionnaire should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

All submissions will be treated in the strictest confidence.
